The underlying theme of the story is the differences between what things seem and what they actually are. Continuing with this theme, the music for the villain in the story is strictly consonant, while the music for the eccentric but deeply good town is set with a more intense and thick harmony. The music for other characters like the children and the businessman all stem from their internal personalities. The score has received multiple edits, including one complete (really, complete) rewriting. I hope you will be able to taste this music as well as hear it, and enjoy the journey of these two children into a blinding, sunlit world.
